Unit Program Coordinator*

UNITPROGRAM COORDINATOR
Full-time position available in the Residential TreatmentProgram working under the general direction of the Program Manager. Responsible for supervising the cottage-based programming functions of assignedresidential cottages, including the care and supervision of the children,performance of staff, budget monitoring and care of the cottages physical andtherapeutic environments, creating a therapeutic atmosphere for children andensuring all cottage activities comply with the treatment philosophy of FiveAcres., and effectively partnering with other agency staff to ensure success ofclients individual plans.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limitedto:
Performs supervisory duties including:recruitment, interviewing, hiring and training department staff; managesperformance, conducts performance appraisals and recommends salary increases;takes disciplinary measures as needed.
Provides oversight to the physical careand nurturing of children in residential placement; monitors daily incidentreports and responds as needed to resolve problems and concerns.
Identifies training needs of staff;works with the Program Manager and Training Department to develop and implementorientation and training programs for child care staff; provides directorientation and training as needed.
Ensures proper staff ratios andoversees childcare scheduling and coverage for the cottages.
Under the general direction of theDirector of Milieu Services coordinates the planning and implementation ofactivities and programs according to children's needs; coordinates planningwith other departments as needed.
Facilitates the development of a warmmilieu in the cottages; completes cottage inspections and monitors physicalupkeep to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and professionalstandards related to the cottage as a therapeutic environment.
Delegates and supervises daily Cottageresponsibilities so as to effect efficient operation of the Cottage, includingdocumentation of children's progress, activity planning, cottage treatmentprogram development, shopping and supply requisition.
Consults regularly with the UnitClinician to identify possible needs and recommendations for additionalservices.
Position requirementsinclude, but are not limited to:
BA degree in Social Work, Psychology or relatedmental health/human services field, preferred.
2 years supervisory experience in a residentialtreatment program for young people or similar setting required.
Effective communication skills bothoral and written; bi-lingual skills in Spanish/English are preferred.
Ability to be flexible and work in a changingenvironment.
Computer skills sufficient to meetproduction demands of the job including Microsoft Office and TIER/WELLIGENTsoftware, and skill in maintaining detailed, accurate and complete records.
Current California driver's license anda driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
Sensitivity to the different culturesrepresented among the clients, families and staff.
Knowledge of emergency procedures ofthe Agency

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
